Greasy spot identification

How can I Identify and treat Greasy Spot in my Citrus my farm?

  • Greasy spot is a fungus, known as Mycosphaerella citri that affects the leaves of citrus trees and thrives in tropical and subtropical climates. Identification of Disease : Look for yellow-brown to dark-brown, slightly raised spots on upper side of citrus leaves.

    Control measures:
    1) Rake up and dispose of fallen leaves and plant debris
    2) Avoid overhead irrigation
    3) Prune the tree to improve air circulation
    4) Apply fungicide containing copper or copper sulfate
    5) Apply foliar spray of potassium bicarbonate
    6) Remove and destroy severely infected branches or tree."
