What is Integrated Pest Management and its objectives?


  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a sustainable approach to pest management that involves the use of a combination of techniques to manage pests in a way that is economically, environmentally, and socially sound. The objectives of IPM are to manage pests in a way that:

    1. Minimizes economic damage to crops and livestock
    2. Reduces the use of pesticides and their impact on the environment and human health
